Handsome  olla  by award winner Tavo Silveira.  Tavo masterfully combined innovative carving, classic painting and burnishing into this magnificent olla. 

It is amazing how with such precision Tavo has painstakingly carved out t of the clay body to  to create decorative relief motifs!

The central design has two mythical Macaws painted on either side of the pot.
Tavo Silveira won the Grand Prize of the "9th Concurso de Mata Ortiz" that took place September 10,  2005, with a similar olla.
