Leonel Lopez is considered one of the great masters of Mata Ortiz pottery particularly for his beautiful sgraffito, etched ollas.

This amazing forest life story-olla is a great example of his best work. All kinds of animals populate this clay marvel, bears, deer, eagles, ducks, squirrels.  There are also etched rocks, pines and lush vegetation!.

Leonel Lopez is the master of etched story ollas, and his work has been included in all major Museum Exhibits of Mata Ortiz pottery, all books of Mata Ortiz and magazines such as Sunset Magazine.
