Tomas Quintana lives in a neighboring village of Mata Ortiz and for many years has been an admirer of the work of the potters. On his own he has developed a special kind of effigies, inspired by Mata Ortiz designs. 

He has a unique rough-primitive style of barely sanded, very well formed figures such as this nice cat!

Flaw: This great cat has superficial scratch on the side. It is such a great figure that it really won't detract from the beauty and wonderful expression of the piece.
