Wonderful olla  by award winner Tavo Silveira.

Tavo masterfully combined carving, painting and burnishing into this beautiful olla. 

It is amazing how with such precision Tavo has painstakingly carved out the clay body to  to create the decorative relief motifs...the center of the design are two Mimbres moths in contrasting black and red.

Tavo Silveira won the Grand Prize of the "Concurso de Mata Ortiz" with a similar olla.
