Tomas Quintana
lives in a neighboring village of Mata Ortiz and for many years has been an admirer of the work of the potters. On his own he has developed a special
kind of effigies, inspired by Mata Ortiz designs.
He has a unique style of very well formed figures such as this gorgeous Paquimean
Macaw, a deity for the pre-Columbian Casas Grandes culture.
