Tomas Quintana lives in a neighboring village of Mata Ortiz and for many years has been an admirer of the work of the potters. On his own he has developed a special kind of effigies, inspired by Mata Ortiz designs. 

He has a unique rough-primitive style of barely sanded, very well formed figures. 

This spectacular two piece caracol, snail, is the perfect example of his unique amazing work!
