Manolo Rodriguez Guillen is an amazing innovative artist. This time he created an exquisite sculptured theme olla symbolizing the mythical importance of corn or maize in Native American and pre-Columbian civilizations.

The gorgeous stone burnished olla, instead of a traditional rim has beautiful flower-like corn leaves that cradle the corn appliqué. Manolo selected a tan colored clay that complements the concept of maize.   There is another lovely corn appliqué on the body of the olla.
