Elegant olla by Lydia Quezada.
This graceful olla, of flowing linework and sculpted lip, is the perfect example of
the black-on-black technique Lydia developed and introduced in Mata Ortiz,
combining stone polished and matte surfaces.
This piece has a beautiful "medallion" design on either side of the pot.
A similar pot by Lydia was selected to grace the cover of the Artes de
Mexico issue dedicated to Mata Ortiz pottery.
