Spectacular white colored olla by potter Diego
Valles.
This beautifully formed olla has a very delicate etching that contrasts with the
traditional Mata Ortiz painted bands in black and red.
If you haven't seen Diego's ollas all over the place it is because he just recently earned his engineering
bachelor's degree and was an exchange student in Sidney Australia!
He has won awards for his innovative use of different pottery techniques to create his beautiful ollas. Last year he
represented Mexico at the 40th annual International Tourism Fair in Berlin Germany.
